Some thoughts on intensives
Ok guys, I know I am one of the new ones but I was wondering about the structure of intensives. Basically I have 2 questions:
Here are my thoughts (and some of these ideas came from Dave). What if we met at 8am on Saturday just like we do now but instead of doing 3 lectures we do 2. If we still take an hour for lunch then we will still be done by 3 o’clock at the latest. Then on Sunday we do a pot-luck or order-in type lunch and get stated right after church. (Sense we are moving to 2 services we will be able to start earlier.) If we get started between 12:15 and 12:30 we’ll be finished by 6 o’clock or so.
I know that will leave us there later on Sunday but we will have more time Saturday and maybe it will be easier to get more out of the lectures.
If no one else had a problem concentrating with the 3 lectures than there is no reason to change it but I just wanted to put this idea out there.
What do y’all think?
- Is there a specific reason why we do 3 lectures one day and 1 the next.
- Does anyone get very much out of the third lecture on Saturday?

My two cents:
I really want to learn this stuff. I enjoy the subjects and want to get as much as possible out of them. But everyone has a different learning style and attention span. This intensive format is not working for me. But if it is working for everyone else, then I will simply go and watch the last lecture on Saturday on my own time.
Peace out
